THE TIMESLIP WINNER OF BEST SCI-FI @ GEEK INDEPENDENT

by john on Oct.19, 2011, under Films, SCREENINGS, Site News, The Timeslip, Uncategorized, apt.

Last week Indiana’s very own Horror / SCI-FI Film Festival the Geek Independent Film Festival showed both Chance Brother’s The Timeslip and my very own short film Apt.

It was to my great surprise they showed both films and now … with Apt. nominated for the Delta Award at the up and coming the Festival of Fantastic films in Manchester England this Sunday (please do go if you can make it!)  it gives me great pleasure to announce The Timeslip won BEST SCI-FI at the Geek Independent Film Festival!

Richard and I are so happy that the film is being warmly received critically with reviewers and by festivals. With only 5 winning categories at the Geek Independent it makes us very proud to have been chosen as one of them.

UK PREMIERE OF APT. – A DELTA AWARD NOMINIEE

by john on Oct.04, 2011, under Films, SCREENINGS, Site News, Uncategorized, apt.

My short film Apt. has now got a UK premiere at Manchester’s very own Festival of Fantastic films – It will be showing on Saturday October 22nd. The yearly horror film festival are renowned for having great guests attending and this year is no exception!

They have some great actors and directors of the golden age of the British horror genre as well as Bobby Rhodes of  Demons, Demons 2 fame – you know it’s going to be a blast!

On top of this I was wonderfully surprised to find Apt. is shortlisted for the Delta Award (the very same award we were nominated for with Chainmail in 2007!) it’s great to see both Apt. and The Timeslip getting into some great festivals this year! Keep checking for more updates on festivals this year and next!

We need your help! Help donate as little as $10 for our films to reach audiences in Festivals!

by john on Aug.16, 2010, under Films, People, Site News, apt.

We are at the LAST WEEK for donations for film funding for exposure for films in festivals.

We need your help! By donating as little as $10 you get a reward from us! You don’t have to be a US resident to help out either!

The bidding war has begun as Distribution for the THE VEIL (US CUT) as distributors all last week have been emailing us, so this is a film on demand and no mistake. Firstly we feel after the years in making it deserves to be seen in festivals and theaters on the big screen! You can make that happen! THE VEIL (US CUT) and APT. have already been accepted and played at the International Action on Film Film Festival as part of the ‘Official Selection’ proving these are up there with the big leagues no matter the smaller budget! Now we need your help for more exposure!

Want to help emerging film talent get more exposure? Chance Encounters has has a project on KICKSTARTER

Want to help emerging talent? Want free film stuff?

by john on Jul.08, 2010, under Films, People, Site News, apt.

Want to help emerging film talent get more exposure? Chance Encounters has found a site called KICKSTARTER which helps fund and finance projects no matter how big or small. As you all know we have been known to do everything for ourselves being the micro filmmakers we are… BUT this is what we have been always needing; a stepping stone to greater exposure in more film festivals. For as little donation as $10 you can take home a little piece of Chance Encounters films and be a part of film history. The more you donate the more you can be a part of our projects and the more rewards / prizes you will receive!

Go here for all the information:

Donations will go toward our current feature film THE VEIL US CUT and my short horror film apt. to be seen in more film festivals in USA, UK and worldwide. More than anything you will be helping us get to the next stage with our films. Something we have been pushing for quite some while. With bigger budgets we can make better films. We have always pushed for originality and something different with our films which the industry more than ever needs right now.

Thank you so much in advance!

Special Thanks to Tattooboulevard.com

by john on Jul.04, 2010, under Films, Site News, apt.

Another company Tattooboulevard.com has donated toward our film apt. the short horror film which is now set to premiere at The Action on Film International Film Festival in late July. Their kind contribution to the arts as Spidvid.com did will go toward exposure of apt entering into film festivals internationally. We are so thankful for their help toward emerging filmmakers.

It is evident in investigating the website this was no ordinary Tattoo site. On top of the tattoo designs that look fantastic and reading about the honest care that goes into the process of looking after your tattoo, this website is all about art and culture. In it’s many forms from artists to poets musicians and filmmakers and beyond this website really has it’s sights head high to be something big. And will be. Check them out today!

You can visit their fascinating website here; www.tattooboulevard.com

Watch this space as we will be beginning a monthly project on KICKSTARTER to gain donations for exposure of our feature film The Veil US CUT and apt to enter in as many film festivals as we can and possible selected theaters this year.
