Talented Voice Artists and Musicians Wanted!
by rich on Nov.21, 2010, under Films
For The Last War a feature-length film.
We require the assistance of voice artists for Character Narration. People with experience in public speaking, book narration, performance or reading out-loud could be most suitable for this position.
We also require musicians with either orchestral connections with a group, or access to an orchestral editing package. I have a completed script and the music pieces we wish to be played so no new creation is needed. (You will keep the moral rights for the reproduction of the music only grant us the usage of the piece)
I will welcome any additional pieces of music if it is in line with the style of the film.
If you think you can help contact me via the email address below. Unfortunately we can only offer the experience of being a part of a feature film’s creation and give you credit in the titles of the film, a recommendation to hand to future employees, and a contract which guarantees more monies if the film is sold to a DVD distributor. This will also make an impressive addition to your professional résumé.
Please email me at the address below if you are interested and think you are right for either of the positions required. Placing either Musician or voice artist in the subject box. I will contact you only if you are successful in this application.
Time-wasters need not apply…

Award winning director needs your help!
Calling all computer geeks and wizards. I need your help. I am creating a one hour and ten minute film which needs seven three minute film sequences approx’ (up to 21 minutes) of realistic computer generated images. Think space marines verses humanoid aliens; fighting on a battlefield, in buildings, and in a jungle environment. Anything like the Halo Reach advert would be fantastic. If you think you can help please contact me via the email address below. Unfortunately I can only afford to pay £100 for your efforts, give you credit in the titles, and a contract which guarantees more monies if the film is sold to a DVD distributor. I have four months to complete this No-Budget film. Please contact me for further details and a shot list. Time-wasters need not apply.

48HR Film Challenge ‘In Light of light’ public premiere on Spidvid.
by john on Sep.04, 2010, under Films, Site News, Uncategorized
In 2009, there was a 48hr SCI-FI film challenge held in London. One member from every team had to be in London… (Travel in itself was 3-4 hr to get there from B/sea, Essex!) …to be given:
1) A title for a film; ‘In Light of light’ was ours.
2) One Prop.
3) One sentence had to be said in the film.
We had to make up a whole story around the theme! So Write, Shoot, Edit, complete! And then of course take another 3-4 hours off that to make it back to London at the said time two days later. (You know you London Based film groups had an extra 6+ to sweeten your films
It was a hard task. Many didn’t complete it. We are happy to be among the few that did. This isn’t necessarily a ‘Chance’ film, but certainly isn’t bad either. There’s elements of past work combined in the SCI-FI/Action element, I see watching it now which was a unconscious decision. But for anyone that know us we are quite the perfectionists!
The more time spent on the film the better job. In filming and post. (Read my rant on this soon)
As said not a bad film and we did complete the task. The most important thing! After all was done i slept like a baby for the next couple of days …
Featuring music by Simon Barratt and David Moulton who helped us out at the last minute.
So here it is for the first time one of our films online only on our pal Jeremy Campbell’s website Spidvid.com.
Enjoy!
